magnesium for anxietyYou know how anxiety can take over your life. You feel inadequate, pessimistic and just plain sad.  There are ways that can help you to stop worrying.  But for some reason, despite trying the tips you see all over, you find yourself still being anxious about the things that are happening to you.

You are hesitant to try the various drugs that are available in the market for anxiety. Because there are reports that the relief they give are only temporary . Also, there are instances wherein you can suffer from the side effects of those drugs, which could include dizziness, and fatigue. Of course, there is also the risk of becoming dependent on the drug as you continue using it.

You don’t need to worry. There is a natural cure for anxiety. It is readily available, proven to be effective, and safe to use.

Magnesium is a very important element in our body. Its benefits include alleviating high blood pressure and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases among others. There was actually a clinical study conducted years ago that showed the positive results that magnesium had on clinically depressed patients.  Individuals who found it hard to sleep, or patients who have memory less which resulted to depression have shown a great improvement.

There are many magnesium supplements that are available in the market. But if you want to go the all-natural route, here are some foods high in magnesium that you can include in your diet.

 Molasses

It’s not only rich in magnesium, but you can use it as an alternative to the refined white sugar that you’re used to.

 Seeds

Sunflower (which is also a great source of vitamin E), squash, watermelon and pumpkin make for great snack items!

 Dried Herbs

They are not only packed with magnesium, but they make your dishes taste better too! Stock up on dried coriander, dill, chives, basil and sage on your next trip to the market. You can use them on your next meal, and get ready to enjoy a tasty dish that’s healthy for you!

 Dark chocolate

I have to say, I love that in the recent years dark chocolate is slowly emerging as  health food instead of the junk food that some people associate it to. Just remember that it’s the dark chocolate kind and don’t just grab any chocolate you see on the shelf.

Getting over your anxiety won’t happen overnight. But taking magnesium might just be the way for you to be completely healed from your anxieties.
